Charming Horses

exclusive worldwide

Biography

Not many Artists manage to stand out from the current mass of deep house Acts. The cologne DJ- and producer “Charming Horses” managed exactly that in a short time. He put on strong melodic hooks since his debut “Follow” (the Moon) with Jona Bird and his production team.

His emotional deep house cover of “Beth – Don’t you worry child” made it to the ITunes overall Top 50 charts within a few days. The appendant YouTube video already got 3,5 million views. And the cologne sticks to the fast lane. His remix to “Godspeed You” made it to number 1 of the Hype Machine Remix charts. No other than Pete Tong praised the mix as “Amazing uplifting piece of Balearic house music” and “essential tune”.

The YouTube views of all Charming Horses mixes add up to 5 million. Half a million listeners on Spotify and 150.000 followers on Shazam as well as 1 Million plays on Soundcloud have to be added. Right from the start, Charming Horses’ tracks and remixes are supported by huge mainstage Acts like Lost Frequencies, Don Diablo, Felix Jaehn, Gestört aber Geil, Flic Flac and many more.

The summer hit “Sonnenmädchen” (featuring Lizot) played on the radio and in almost every club of the republic for month. The track made it to number 6 of the Top 10 Shazam Buzz charts and to the Top 100 official German single charts.

The deep club mix “Killing me softly” (feat. Jano) rapidly settled at the Top 3 of the DDC. Besides that, remixes for “Gestört aber Geil” and “Iselin Solheim”, who already sang vocals for the number 1 single chart hit “Faded” by Alan Walker, appeared in spring 2016.

The current Track “Higher Love” (Sony) with the UK Singer Grace Grundy made it to half a million Spotify streams and #11 of the Viral Spotify UK Charts within the first week.

Conro

exclusive worldwide (ex. North-America)

Biography

Canadian producer Conro, was always destined to make a name for himself as a musician. Born into a musical family, Conro started playing violin at the tender age of seven. Later going on to play in the Saskatoon Youth Symphony orchestra, with a burning desire to spread his talents soon taking over, he took up piano, guitar and the drums, with a passion that continues to glow bright to this day.

Conro initially played in local rock n’ roll and alternative bands, gaining respect and a following in his local community. His first foray into self-production was also far removed from electronic music, as he wrote and recorded two self-released folk albums, his first project under the Conor Patton name. His intense musical background soon morphed into the sound he’s become most well known for, though it’s not without its strong influences. Conro’s style of electro house includes subtle creative nods towards his older work blending in aspects of rock, garage, and disco.

With this, Conro has had his fair deal of being a recording artist and the experience of being on tour, from his first release in 2012 on Kindergarten and heavy support from some highly respected names in the electro scene.

Conro’s catalogue of stellar productions has continued to grow over the years, with releases on Armada, Revealed and WOLV. His Dyro collaboration ‘Bittersweet’, which featured the vocals of Envy Monroe, was supported by names including Hardwell and David Guetta.

Summer 2015, Conro decided to only make music he loved and had a passion for, which was not something expected of him or which was guaranteed to work on the dancefloor, but just music that matters to him, resulting in a new sound; more downtempo but still energetic, future bass meets electronic, laced with lush melodies. The first outputs of this new direction were releases on Monstercat. The first, ‘On My Way Up’, was released early 2016 and has seen over 3.3 million Spotify plays, while ‘City Lights’ followed in similar suit with nearly 3 million Spotify plays and was featured in a recent Gogoro ad in Asia. ‘The Saint’, another future bass track with a lot of funk influences, and ‘I Wanna Know’, are other highlights this year on what has been a fruitful collaboration for Conro and the impressive Vancouver-based label in 2016.

Conro has also been working hard with labels outside his Monstercat affiliation, releasing his massive remix of Paris Blohm track ‘Something About You’ on Revealed Recordings, which was selected by ULTRA as the official ULTRA Miami 2016 anthem and soundtrack for the aftermovie. Conro has also seen several impressive remixes released, most notably for The Chainsmokers hit ‘All We Know’, as well as Mr. Probz and Fais ft. Afrojack, while his collaborative effort with Headhunterz ‘Unique’ has amassed over 2.5 million plays on Spotify. Keep an eye out for further team ups with DallasK and Virtu in the not-so-distant future.

On top of his stellar work in the studio, Conro has also been treating fans to his DJ skills with sets including the Monstercat label showcase and STMPD show at ADE, as well as sets at Leading Netherlands station Slam and sharing his talents at the Revealed Recordings masterclass at ADE.

The future certainly looks bright for Conro, with a musical ability and a knack for kicking out top-notch productions, bettered only by his solid drive and relentless determination to make music that matters. With a brand new EP forthcoming at the beginning of next year on Monstercat, as well as a number of other projects in the pipeline, there’s clearly going to be plenty more Conro in our lives in the near future, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more from dance music’s next big thing.

Dante Klein

exclusive worldwide

Biography

With his initial release on Spinnin Records in 2015 “Ertesuppe”, the young  DJ/Producer phenom, Dante Klein burst onto the scene. The track was quickly featured in Pete Tong’s radio show along with those of Avicii, Watermat & The Magician. Collabs followed with Sam Feldt, along with remixes for Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Kim Churchill. Now with 2016 in full swing, Dante Klein is about to ‘turn on’ the world with his latest release featuring the LA group Cheat Codes.

Dante always had an interest in everything musical, dating back to the pots and pans jam sessions he had together with his sister during childhood. Those ‘instruments’ soon gave way to a real piano and the first compositions were born. At the early age of 10 he got hold of DJ equipment and his life’s passion was discovered. Dante soon followed suit with producer software, and then went on to finetune his skills at the renowned Herman Brood Music Academy in the Netherlands, from which he has since graduated.

Now, still only 20 years old, Dante Klein is setting things alight in quick succession. Shortly after his highlight performance at Tomorrowland 2015, he was asked to remix “Higher Place”, the groovy # 1 Billboard dance track by Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike & Ne-Yo. This was quickly followed by a brooding collaboration with Sam Feldt & Belgian singer Milow, “Feels Like Home”, which became the focus track of Feldt’s EP.

All this has led to the biggest release to date – “Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On)” had been secretly gaining global traction on Spotify as an ID track, with more than 2.000.000 streams before its official “reveal” on June 29th. First week of August it hit 40 million, reaching a number 48 position on the Spotify Global charts and a number 21 position with 88 million streams by the end of that month. The track keeps on going strong. This rework of Kevin Lyttle’s hit features the successful LA based Cheat Codes who are currently also enjoying a world-wide hit with “Sex”.

Accompanied by an equally unique extended video, ‘Turn Me On’ is already a dance floor mainstay, on its way to becoming THE European summer anthem of 2016.

Delta Heavy

Europe and Asia

Biography

Delta Heavy are the most exciting duo to hit dancefloors since Chase & Status and Nero, although if anything their music is even harder and heavier, darker and more multi-textured. Having conquered the clubs, however, their newer tracks are becoming more song-oriented, pointing towards a debut album that will surely be hailed as one of the year’s best, designed to satisfy bass-heads and traditional music-heads alike.

They signed to drum & bass mogul Andy C’s Ram, label home of Chase & Status and Sub Focus, establishing themselves as credible newcomers with Space Time/Take The Stairs. The former was nominated as Best Track at the 2010 Drum&BassArena Awards while earning Si and Ben nominations for Best Producer and Best Newcomer DJ.

They remixed Example, Avicii, Chase & Status ft. Tinie Tempah, Rita Ora and Nero, making Delta Heavy ones to seriously watch. Their next release, Overkill/Hold Me, confirmed their reputation as bass innovators, mixing extreme electronic noise with low-end frequencies while acknowledging the need for a commercial imperative. The video to Hold Me received over a million views in a little over a week and daytime radio plays from Sara Cox as well as specialist spins from Skream & Benga, Mistajam & Kissy Sell Out.

Of the many Delta Heavy releases, Si nominates Space Time as a highlight, as well as Hold Me, Get By and Empire. He also rates highly their remix of Nero’s ”Must Be The Feeling”, which has had nearly seven million views on YouTube, and over 100,000 downloads on SoundCloud.

Delta Heavy – influenced as much by UK drum & bass as the recent explosion of dance music in the US – have truly international appeal. In fact, they recently submitted a track for inclusion on a Rihanna album and have already played to 20,000-capacity crowds in the States. But Si and Ben’s dream is for Delta Heavy to eventually make the transition from purveyors of club bangers to architects of a more song-based sonic assault.

Delta Heavy – their name taken from a 2001 tour by progressive house duo Sasha & Digweed, – are taking what Si correctly describes as “forward-thinking, impact-based electronic music with a twist” to the next level.

Biography

It’s still strange to most. A new act bursting onto the scene, amassing hundreds of thousands of plays in the blink of an eye. Unknown to most, they soon have fans screaming their names and shows around the globe. This is how electronic music superstars are born.

Hailing from The Netherlands and branded with their signature skull, Dutch-duo DROELOE have taken the ‘future bass’ scene by storm. What began with a SoundCloud account–where they uploaded their own music and curated their favorite releases in their “Pokoe Pack” mixes–they soon developed a reputation for creating impeccable percussion-heavy future bass, infused with the catchiest melodies.

Early 2016 they caught the ear of San Holo, who brought them aboard his bitbird imprint, teaming up for a string of successful single releases. “Make My Day” accumulated over half a million SoundCloud streams, but it was follow-up single “zZz” which hit #1 on the Hype Machine where the duo really made their mark. To date, “zZz” has amassed over 5 million streams across all platforms. Tastemakers across the industry, including Martin Garrix, Mr Suicide Sheep, Majestic Casual, Trap Nation, and CloudKid all supported DROELOE.

Since then, the duo has gone on to put together a string of successful official remixes for bitbird, NEST HQ, and Atlantic which have all placed within the Top 10 of the Hype Machine charts. Their official remix of “We Don’t Talk Anymore” by Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez’ has over 3 million Spotify streams and was premiered via Billboard. They followed this with the release of “Shibuya” on Elysian, which solidified their position in the bass realm.

Kris Kross Amsterdam

exclusive worldwide

Biography

Kris Kross Amsterdam (KKA) was founded in 2011 by brothers Jordy and Sander Huisman. At the time they found that the Dutch club music scene was so focussed on techno and house that they sorely missed the music they grew up with.

As the brothers were DJs themselves for several years, they decided to organize a party called Kris Kross where they could actually play their own favorite music.

The party name was a deliberate nod to the famous rap duo that stormed the charts in the early nineties with the classic track “Jump”. From there on, due to the success of the parties, the boys started to get DJ bookings as Kris Kross in their local scene. What followed was a quick rise in popularity so they decided to keep the name Kris Kross Amsterdam as a tribute to the 90s in general.

In an attempt to unite several different musical genres that were buzzing in the Dutch dance scene, a new successful concept was born. With an unique eclectic mix of R&B, hip-hop, twerk, trap and house from all decades the Kris Kross party developed into sold-out events at the biggest clubs in Amsterdam.

In the summer of 2014, Yuki Kempees joined the group as their MC, completing KKA as a performance and DJ collective.

They are known for their all round sound, interaction with the audience, a clothing line and now releasing their own music at Spinnin’ Records.

Mike Williams is known as a versatile artist, passionate and fascinated by music from an early age. Recently Mike signed with Spinnin’ Records and MusicAllStars Management, adding an exciting new chapter to his career.

As a child Mike Williams can already be found behind a keyboard. At the age of 12 he starts to take his DJing more seriously. He gets booked on several events, sharing the stage with DJs like Martin Garrix, Jay Hardway, Yellow Claw and Alvaro, while he also starts producing tracks of his own.

When his bootleg of Calvin Harris’ track ‘Blame’ gets picked up on social media, he starts receiving support from various artists, including Oliver Heldens.

2015 sees him play different festivals, in the meantime Mike drops a successful bootleg of Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘I Really Like You’, gaining over 3 million SoundCloud plays.

By the end of summer 2015 the young artist is being approached by several dance parties and signs a contract with renowned label Spinnin’ Records. His debut release here, the catchy tune ‘Sweet And Sour’, is immediately signed to Tiësto imprint (and Spinnin’ sublabel) Musical Freedom.

Initially going round as an ID track, the record quickly gains DJ support early 2016, getting played by major artists like Tiësto, Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Oliver Heldens, Afrojack, R3hab, Firebeatz and Axwell.

WRLD

exclusive worldwide

Biography

Electronic music artist WRLD might only have just recently graduated high school, but don’t let his youthful demeanor fool you for a second. WRLD, also known as David Lawson, produces with the musical versatility of a seasoned veteran, skillfully merging electronic with dance and pop.

WRLD kicked off a fruitful partnership with Vancouver based record label Monstercat with successful singles ‘Triumph’, ‘You & Me’ with Laszlo and then ‘Orbit (feat. Richard Caddock)’ in 2014, both featuring on Monstercat’s 018 – Frontier compilation. He also cemented himself as a part of the ever-growing online SoundCloud collective Moving Castle with an appearance on their third compilation.

With his next releases, David ventured beyond his signature ‘future bass’ sound towards indie dance and nu-disco. Compiled on the ‘Chase It’ EP and released on Monstercat, it crossed millions of plays on SoundCloud and secured a #24 iTunes chart position.

His musical experimentation continued with the iconic single ‘Fighter’ , a powerful vocoder driven indie dance single, demonstrating his technical development and incorporating influences from the likes of Daft Punk and Justice.

Having started music production at the tender age of 11, his full range of inspirations runs broad: from the aforementioned classics, to his all-time favorite Owl City. WRLD’s interesting because he isn’t afraid to look for the intersection of electronic music and pop. For him, that’s where the magic is.

WRLD loves his vocals and the ‘Awake EP’ on Monstercat shows the full spectrum. It’s pop yet dance, future and funky. ‘Galaxies’ , out on NestHQ / OWSLA, displays the more pop-influenced side, with Father Dude singing “I wonder how this looks from other galaxies…”.

Prolific as he is, he returned to Monstercat with ‘By Design’ , an experimental drum and bass record, released just before embarking on his debut international tour. The latest single ‘Hideaway’ on Heroic saw him return to indie dance, while capturing his first Hype Machine #1 in the process.
